The focal point of this building is the staircase with its wooden parapet, which is almost a sculpture. Atelier Tonini has fully furnished the building with modern pieces. We have also created a self-supporting grid in wenge wood that winds through 4 floors without ever adhering to the staircase. This way, we have created a sort of homogeneous shutter, which follows the sight from the beginning to the end of the artwork. We have manually bended and shaped each section. Each single strip and cube have been assembled by hand. The handrail on the grid has been created on site to perfectly follow the progress of the parapet, while the small column has been carved.
